To be eligible for any of these lists, your company needs to be Great Place To Work Certified. Here’s how earning Certification works:
You’ll launch the Trust Index™, our research-backed employee experience survey, to collect quantitative and qualitative data about working at your organisation.
You’ll also complete a short questionnaire organisation culture and workforce called the Culture Brief™.
We’ll analyse both the numerical results and the qualititive comments that your employees submit, along with the information you provide in the Culture Brief.
Once you meet our criteria and employee feedback benchmark, you’ll earn the special distinction of being a Great Place To Work Certified Company – and you’ll be eligible for all Best Workplaces Lists!
You’ll also have access to a suite of employer branding tools and promotional assets.
Between setting up your employee survey, running it, and analysing the results, you can expect Certification to take at least three to four weeks.
If you need extra time to set up and run your survey, or to get any necessary approvals and budget, you’ll want to account for that in your timeline and expectations.
Plus, as you can see from the calendar above, several months pass between when applications for a list close, and when that list is finalised and published. A lot of companies apply for these lists, and we carefully review those applications, so it takes some time.
This is why you should not delay getting started on Certification- the deadlines can arrive much faster than you think! A list might not be announced until a year from now, but if applications close six months ahead of that, and you have to incorporate Certification into your quarterly planning, you might only have a few weeks to get the process started.

ABOUT OUR METHODOLOGY
The Best Workplaces in Asia List
Great Place to Work® identifies the top organizations that create great workplaces in the Asian and Middle Eastern regions with the publication of the annual Best Workplaces in Asia list. The list recognizes companies in three size categories:
To be considered for inclusion, companies must appear on one or more of our national lists in the region, which includes Greater China (covering China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau), India, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka and UAE. For the 2021 Asia List, companies ranked on the national list in the Philippines will also be included. Multinational organizations must meet the following requirements:
Multinationals also receive additional credit for their efforts to successfully create an excellent workplace culture in multiple countries in the region. The data used in the calculation of the regional list comes from national lists published in 2019 and early 2020.
