"Micron is a great place for learning and development. I would like to thank my managers and supervisors for the guidance and development opportunities given. I really appreciate the care and great teamwork from the teams I work with at Micron. In addition, the upgraded facilities and available IT resources makes my job more effective and efficient. This gives me the motivations and energy in the last 22years working in MSB. Go Micron!"

Ditto David,

ENGINEER, Micron
"Throughout my 16 years in Micron, I have encountered many external challenges in terms of health, finance and family. One thing that I can always rely on, is the unwavering support from Micron and my leaders to help me overcome challenges to continue contributing to Micron. One incident that stands out in my mind was the birth of my second child earlier this year. The pandemic was spreading aggressively worldwide then. I was away from Singapore and scheduled to fly back in April. Due to the pandemic, all flights were cancelled. Thankfully, my managers were supportive and empowered me to work remotely, which also gave me the freedom to help my wife with our newborn when we were all together. This enabled me to balance family and professional commitments, maintaining my work productivity and output until my family situation was stabilized. I am very grateful and proud to be a part of Micron. It truly is a Great Place to Work. Go Micron!"

From the onset of the pandemic, Micron extended support to their employees for the hardships they were facing during this extraordinary time.  Micron pledged to no layoffs for 90 days, provided a one-time $500 reimbursement for team members to purchase what they needed to set-up a home office, provided COVID-19 Assistance Payment, and invested in an employee-supported fund that provided grants of up to $5,000 to individual team members based on needs.  To ensure employee wellness, COVID-19 safe packs and around the clock telemedicine services were provided to all team members and their dependents.

As the evolving COVID-19 situation affected many local communities in Singapore, Micron actively supported charities in #SGUnited COVID-19 initiative such as The Food Bank Singapore and Feed The City Program to provide for those in need of resources.  Micron team members also contributed directly to the cause through The Micron Foundation.  Micron increased its matching thresholds to $10,000 per person and employees were allowed to donate the cash value of their accrued time off to charity.  In mid-July, Micron celebrated reaching $10 million in combined team member donations and matching funds!

For all the heart in caring for people, we at Great Place To Worik find Micron worthy of being among the 2020 Best Workplaces in Singapore!
