Takeda Manufacturing Singapore Site was officially opened in 2014 and is Takeda’s only biologics manufacturing facility in Asia. The site has around 400 employees and produces three recombinant clotting factors to treat rare blood disorders for the global market. The Site’s Manufacturing Support Building, became the first “Platinum Positive Energy” Building in Takeda’s network and first of its kind within the biopharmaceutical industry in Singapore, certified by Singapore’s Building Construction Authority Green Mark scheme in 2022. In the same year, its Quality laboratory received the highest certification for laboratory sustainability practices by My Green Lab.
