The Carlsberg Group entered into Myanmar market in 2013 by forming a joint venture with Myanmar Golden Star Breweries (MGS). Carlsberg Myanmar built a state-of-the-art brewery in Bago, the country’s first international brewery, and filled its first bottle in April 2015. Carlsberg Myanmar brews two international brands – Carlsberg and Tuborg, as well as two local favorites – Yoma and Black Eagle, that are all distributed and sold nationwide. The company has employed more than 400 employees across the country and 99% of which are Myanmar nationals.
