Mitsui & Co. Energy Trading Singapore Pte. Ltd. (METS) was established in Singapore as an energy trading arm of Mitsui & Co., Ltd. (Japan) in 2010 and has been acting as the global headquarters of oil and gas trading of Mitsui & Co., Ltd. (Japan). In 2017, METS entered the LNG trading sector, and by 2019, METS established its branch in London while expanding trading activities in USA, Europe, the Middle East and Africa region. In 2023, in response to global market changes and the need to align with sustainability goals, METS diversified into Carbon Credit and Bio-Fuels trading.
