How Singapore Ranked on Asia’s Best Workplaces for 2026

Singapore placed 25 companies on the Best Workplaces in Asia 2026 list, more than any other Southeast Asian market. Two of them work in real estate, a sector that appears nowhere else in Southeast Asia’s results.

While property and workplace culture rankings rarely meet, in Singapore this year they produced a coworking operator and a property group, and the former finished fifth in all of Asia.

How many Singapore companies made Best Workplaces in Asia 2026?

Twenty-five. Twenty sit in the large category, meaning 500 or more employees across Asia, and five sit in the small and medium category, covering 50 to 499.

The list names 200 companies in total, 100 large and 100 small and medium. Those companies were surveyed across 36 countries and territories.

Between them the six Southeast Asian markets took 121 places on the 2026 list. Top ten countries by number of companies on the Best Workplaces in Asia 2026 list were UAE (42 companies), India (40), Greater China (39), Japan (34), Singapore (25), Vietnam (24), Saudi Arabia (22), South Korea (21), Philippines (20), Indonesia (19).

Which industries did Singapore lead on?

Real estate, and it leads alone. JustCo placed fifth among small and medium workplaces in Asia and Pontiac Land Group placed 97th, while Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam returned none.

Biotechnology and pharmaceuticals is the other standout. Singapore has three companies there, level with Thailand for the most in the region: AbbVie at fourth in Asia, Merz Aesthetics at ninth among small and medium workplaces, and Amgen at 50th. Technology is Singapore’s biggest single group at six companies, including Adobe and Crowdstrike.

Five small and medium companies made the list from Singapore, second only to the Philippines with six. Southeast Asia sent five small and medium companies into Asia’s top 10 this year, and two of them are Singaporean.

Great Place To Work’s Asia region takes in the Gulf, which is why the UAE sits at the top of the table with 42 companies. The count on its own undersells the result, what matters is how far up the ranking those 25 companies sit. Singapore puts seven companies into Asia’s top 10 large workplaces from a base of 25. The UAE reaches the same seven from a base of 42, and India six from 40.

Hilton, Marriott International, Cisco, AbbVie and DHL take the first five places in Asia, and every one of them has a Singapore operation on the list.

The smaller half of the list is where the room to grow sits. Singapore holds five of Asia’s 100 small and medium places against 20 of the 100 large ones, and the companies best placed to close that gap are the ones already running 80-person teams well.

Visa climbed 19 places in Asia, and Micron Technology and Amgen each climbed 12. Great Place To Work’s year-on-year data shows ten of Singapore’s 25 companies appearing on the Asia list for the first time.
